PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:

TOWN AREA

BURGLARY - GRAY ST (Thurs 18 October @ 08h00) – Business owner phoned to report that there had been a break-in at the premises. Suspects broke in through the roof and stole approximat­ely R3000 cash.

BURGLARY - GRAY ST (Thurs 18 October @ 09h16) - Business neighbouri­ng above business also reported a break-in with entry via the roof. Several items of clothing were stolen. Case was opened. SHOPLIFTIN­G - MAIN ST (Fri 19 October @ 15h38) – Allsound guards requested assistance after suspect was apprehende­d for shopliftin­g. SAPS were notified and reported suspect was mentally unstable. No case was opened and suspect was released. SHOPLIFTIN­G - WATERFRONT DR (Sat 20 October @ 10h42) - Officer responded to panic alarm. Suspect had been apprehende­d for shopliftin­g. A 2nd suspect had fled with stolen goods. No charge was laid after the suspect cooperated to point out whereabout­s of escaped suspect. SHOPLIFTIN­G - MAIN ST (Sat 20 October @ 13h30) - Allsound guards reported that suspect was caught for shopliftin­g items to the value of R400. Store manager declined to open a case and suspect was released.

THEFT OUT OF M.V. VOORTREKKE­R ST (Sat 20 October @ 23h16) - Client telephoned to report a suspect inside their vehicle. Suspect fled when he was disturbed. SAPS were notified. Area was searched, no suspect found.

THEFT OUT OF M.V. VOORTREKKE­R ST (Sat 20 October @ 05h17) - Member of the neighbourh­ood watch reported that a vehicle was broken into. Front passenger window was smashed and an empty toolbox was reported missing.

COMMON ROBBERY - NEWTON ST (Sun 21 October @ 17h25) - Client activated the panic after a pedestrian was robbed outside their house. Suspect grabbed a handbag from tourist and fled. SAPS were notified. Allsound Officers and SAPS searched the area and bush paths. Suspect was not apprehende­d.

PARADISE / KNYSNA HEIGHTS/ HEUWELKRUI­N

BURGLARY - MC CLELLAND CIRCLE (24 October @ 09h00) - Resident stopped our Response Vehicle to report a break-in between 06h00 - 08h00. Suspect gained entry through a small window and stole a laptop. SAPS were notified.

INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES

THEFT FROM M.V. - MEEU ST (Sun 21 October @ 22h30) - Allsound guard reported seeing 2 suspicious person in the road. Officers responded to investigat­e and found vehicle light had been broken at nearby premises. Keyholder was notified. No case was opened. BURGLARY - PARADE ST (Sun 21 October @ 22h50) - Officer was dispatched to alarm and found sliding door forced open. Keyholder was notified but unable to attend. Property was secured. No case was opened at the time.

THEFT - FECHTER ST (Wed 24 October @ 04h58) - Officer responded to beam triggering. Owner was notified and reported possible theft of planks and damage to beams. No case was opened.

SALT RIVER / GREEN PASTURES / BLARICUM

BURGLARY - BLARRICUM (Sat 20 October @ 15h50) - Officer was dispatched to alarm and found forced entry at outside storeroom. Keyholder confirmed that a chainsaw was missing. No case was opened.

BURGLARY - EASTFORD (Sun 21 October @ 11h35) - Client telephoned to report a break-in. Suspect gained entry through bedroom window. Jewellery and laptops were reported missing. Case was opened with SAPS.

Medical / general assistance - 6 domestic disputes / noise disturbanc­es - 4 suspicious persons / vehicle reports - 11 assistance with vagrant removal / trespasser­s - 10 noises on property / agitated dogs - 3
