PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS:

TOWN AREA

HOUSE ROBBERY - RAWSON ST (Fri 26 October @ 05h07) – Client phoned to request assistance after a suspect entered his 2nd floor flat via open sliding door. Suspect confronted the homeowner and stabbed him in his hand during an altercatio­n. Suspect fled emptyhande­d. Client was treated in hospital for his injuries and a case was opened by SAPS. BURGLARY - GORDON ST (Fri 26 October @ 08h29) - Suspect entered a guests’ room via open window sometime during the night. Guest confirmed that a watch, wallet and cellphone were stolen. Guest declined to open a case.

THEFT - LONG ST (Fri 26 October @ 16h57) – Client phoned in to report that laptop was stolen. A review of cameras identified 2 possible suspects who entered premises around 13h00 and left with a laptop bag. Client would open a case with SAPS.

SHOPLIFTIN­G - NELSON ST (Sat 27 October @ 14h01) - Shop Security reported that 2 ladies stole goods from the store. They reportedly said they were going to get a trolley and never returned. No case was opened.

BURGLARY - ST GEORGES ST (Sun 28 October @ 08h34) - Client reported a break-in at the premises. Suspect/s broke window and pulled clothing items through the window. No case was opened.

THEFT OUT OF M.V. -

VOORTREKKE­R ST (Mon 29 October @ 03h44) - Client requested assistance after his vehicle was broken into. The logbook was reported missing. Case was opened. SHOPLIFTIN­G - MAIN ST (Mon 29 October @ 15h36) - Allsound guards requested SAPS after female suspect was caught for shopliftin­g. Suspect was handed over to police and a case was opened.

OLD PLACE / COSTA SARDA

ATTEMPTED THEFT OUT M.V. MILKWOOD DR (Thurs 25 October @ 00h50) - Client reported seeing 2 suspects trying to break-in at vehicles. They fled into nearby bushes when they saw they were being watched. Officers searched the area and checked the vehicles. No entry was gained.

INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES

BURGLARY - SORIA ST (Mon 29 October @ 12h34) - Client reported that her outside storeroom was broken into some time over the weekend. Building materials were reported missing. Case was opened.

WELBEDACHT / EASTFORD

HOUSE ROBBERY - WELBEDACHT RD (Wed 31 Oct @ 15h58) - Resident stopped an Allsound Vehicle to report that a suspect entered their property and stole a cash box. When confronted, the suspect threatened the resident with a garden fork and fled. Additional vehicles were dispatched and surroundin­g area was searched. Suspect was not found. SAPS were notified.

LAKE BRENTON / BRENTON ON SEA

BURGLARY - WK GROBLER RD (Sun 28 October @ 18h42) - Officer responded to alarm signals from premises and confirmed bathroom window was broken. Owner was notified and confirmed nothing missing from the main house. The cottage had also been broken into and a flat screen TV was stolen. Client would open a case the following day.

THEFT OUT M.V. - WATSONIA DR (Mon 29 October @ 01h17) - Allsound Camera Operator spotted a suspect on cameras in the area. Suspect was seen climbing into a parked vehicle. Officers were dispatched and searched the area. Suspect was not found. Nothing reported missing from the vehicle at the time. RHEENENDAL / PHANTOM RIVER BURGLARY - RHEENENDAL RD (Fri 26 October @ 06h50) - Client phoned our Control Room to report that there had been a break-in at the premises. Suspects entered via store room and damaged alarm panel. Cash and some food were reported stolen. Case was opened with SAPS. ATTEMPTED THEFT - PHANTOM RIVER RD (Sat 27 October @ 19h18) Client phoned in to report that there was an intruder in neighbour’s house. Suspect had entered via open door but fled when the resident disturbed him. Nothing reported missing. No case was opened.

LEISURE ISLAND

THEFT - GREENHOLE (Thurs 25 October @ 13h59) - A visitor reported that her backpack was stolen from the beach area.

Review of the cameras showed the suspect taking the bag and dumping it in nearby bushes. The bag was recovered with valuables removed. Suspect was searched for but not found. No case was opened. THEFT - KINGSWAY AND GEORGE REX DR (Wed 31 October @ 16h30 and 21h44) - Allsound responded to 2 incidents of a man eating at Restaurant­s and leaving without paying. Both restaurant­s declined to open a case and the man was released.
