New w­heel­chairs for Hos­pi­ce pa­tients

On 20 Oc­to­ber, the Knys­na Li­ons Club do­na­ted six new, stur­dy w­heel­chairs to trans­port pa­tients on Tu­es­days w­hen t­hey are broug­ht to the Knys­na Sed­ge­field Hos­pi­ce of­fi­ces in Hun­ter’s Ho­me for day­ca­re.

The­se are such a bles­sing to us and our pa­tients, thank you, Li­ons!

Our so­ci­al wor­ker coor­di­na­tes day­ca­re and gi­ves our con­fi­ned pa­tients a chan­ce to get out of the hou­se and to so­ci­a­li­se with ot­her pa­tients and our friend­ly vo­lun­teers. T­hey do arts and crafts w­hi­le t­he­re and eat a nu­tri­ti­ous me­al w­hi­le ha­ving the op­por­tu­ni­ty to meet with their nur­sing sis­ter, our so­ci­al wor­ker, our ho­me­ba­sed ca­rers and our doc­tor all in one pla­ce.
