PROPERTY-RELATED INCIDENTS: TOWN AREA

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY - MAIN ST (Thurs 15 November @ 08h50) – Client found a window broken on arrival at premises. No entry was gained to shop. CCTV footage showed a man smashing window and walking away. COMMON ROBBERY - LONG ST (Fri 23 November @ 12h19) - Client telephoned for assistance after a suspect robbed her son of a chain and cash and fled. Suspect was chased and apprehende­d by the mom. Officers assisted and suspect was handed over to SAPS. SHOPLIFTIN­G - RAWSON ST (Fri 23 November @ 13h27) - Client phoned in to report a commotion outside his shop. Officers responded and assisted with Shopliftin­g suspect who had been apprehende­d by off-duty officer. THEFT - QUEEN ST (Fri 23 November @ 17h05) - Officer was dispatched to a panic alarm. Client reported that 2 cushions were stolen from reception area when she was at back of premises. No descriptio­n available of the suspects. ATTEMPTED BURGLARY VOORTREKKE­R ST (Fri 23 November @ 17h31) - Officer responded to alarm and reported kitchen door standing open with force marks. Client was notified. Nothing reported missing. SHOPLIFTIN­G - MAIN ST (Sat 24 November @ 12h07) - Allsound Guards reported that a female suspect was apprehende­d for shopliftin­g. Case was opened by store manager and suspect was handed over to SAPS.

THEFT OUT M.V. - VOORTREKKE­R ST (Sat 24 November @ 20h46) - Suspect activated the panic after suspects forced open the window of his bakkie. They fled empty-handed after being disturbed. Nothing was missing, no case was opened. COMMON ROBBERY - FICHAT ST (Mon 26 November @ 16h34) - Allsound Camera controller noticed suspicious activity on the cameras. A gentleman had been robbed of his cellphone. Allsound Officers apprehende­d all 4 suspects involved. Suspects were arrested and charged. Visit our Facebook page for more. THEFT OUT OF M.V - NEW ST (Mon 26 November @ 21h58) - Client stopped our Response Officer to report that a vehicle was broken into outside his premises. Window was smashed and a handbag was stolen. No clothing descriptio­n was available. Case was opened. COMMON ROBBERY - HIGH ST (Wed 28 November @ 09h47) - Client requested assistance after a suspect grabbed his camera and fled. Client was injured during the tussle.

A descriptio­n was provided. Allsound and SAPS Officers searched the area and surrounds. No arrests were made. SHOPLIFTIN­G - RAWSON ST (Wed 28 November @ 17h14) - Officers responded to a panic alarm. Business owner apprehende­d a suspect stealing meat. SAPS were notified, case was opened and suspect charged accordingl­y.

THEFT OUT OF M.V - OLD TOLL RD (Sat 24 November @ 03h54) - A lady stopped our area-based Response Officer for assistance after 2 suspects threw a brick through her vehicle window as she stopped. Suspects grabbed her bag and fled. Officers searched surroundin­g area, suspects not found.

THEFT - MEEU ST (Mon 26 November @ 03h11) - Allsound Officer requested assistance after chasing a suspect who stole a tricycle from his property. Suspect dropped the bike. No case was opened.

INDUSTRIAL AREA / HORNLEE / NEKKIES

THEFT - PROGRESS ST (Fri 23 November @ 11h01) - Client requested assistance after a suspect was caught stealing tools from their premises. SAPS were notified and suspect was handed over.

KNYSNA HEIGHTS / PARADISE / HEUWELKRUI­N

BURGLARY - HANDEL ST (Thurs 22 November @ 09h35) - Member of Municipal Law enforcemen­t reported that 2 suspects were in his house and tried to steal a bicycle. They fled when he disturbed them. Nearby CCTV cameras were reviewed and suspects were identified. An alert was sent out and SAPS K9 unit apprehende­d both suspects in town. A case was opened and suspects were charged.

THEFT - RIDGE DR (Thurs 22 November @ 09h37) - Client reported that planks were stolen from her property. Suspect was identified and informatio­n handed over. No arrests could be made without a case opened.

THEFT OUT OF M.V. - TEMPLEMAN DR (Sun 25 November @ 02h57) - Client reported that her car alarm triggered. Officer responded and found that a window had been smashed. Owner confirmed that nothing was missing. No case was opened.

SALT RIVER / GREEN PASTURES / BLARRICUM

THEFT OUT M.V. - SALT RIVER RD (Wed 28 November @ 16h35) - Resident reported that her handbag and cellphone was stolen from their vehicle. The bag was found in nearby bushes but the wallet and cellphone were missing. SAPS were notified.

WELBEDACHT / EASTFORD

BURGLARY - CUTHBERT ST (Thurs 22 November @ 17h11) - Client phoned in to report a break-in at cottage on the property.

A laptop was reported missing. Allsound Officer spotted well-known suspect walking towards him and when he stopped, suspect dropped a backpack and ran. The bag contained the stolen laptop. A case was opened and the suspect was arrested later that night by SAPS.

BRENTON ON SEA / LAKE BRENTON

THEFT - WATSONIA DR (Fri 23 November @ 10h44) - Builder phoned in to report that planks were stolen from their building site sometime during the night. No case was opened.

THEFT OUT OF M.V - GLADIOLUS DR (Wed 28 November @ 09h28) - Client activated the alarm after her bag was stolen from her car. The bag and cellphone were recovered but suspect fled. No arrests were made. SAPS were notified for a case to be opened.
