Teacher in sexual assault

The Thembelitsha Primary School teacher who is facing multiple charges of sexual assault is due to appear in the Knysna Regional Court later this month.

The man, who is out on bail, appeared briefly in the magistrate's court on 25 June, when the matter was transferred to the regional court, to be heard again on 30 July.

The Plettenberg Bay-based teacher has been suspended by the department of education pending an investigation that runs concurrently with the criminal case.
