Jeeves Heated Towel

Rails, one of the most renowned and revered business names in Knysna, is celebrating 25 years of providing customers worldwide with warm, crisp and mildew-free towels. Both the oldest and largest heated towelrail manufacturer in South Africa, Jeeves was started by two vintage-car enthusiasts, Ray Botha and Don Steenkamp, in a small building in the Knysna Industrial Area in 1995.

The business grew rapidly in the following years and in 2007, Kim Gess (managing director), Mark Bennett (sales and marketing director) and Neil Steenkamp (operations director) became co-owners and took over the running of the company. With an international reputation for style and reliability, Jeeves has for the past 25 years crafted heated towel rails of outstanding quality, destined for both local and export markets, with weekly container exports to the UK, USA, Australia, and various countries in Europe. Once considered a luxury, Jeeves' heated towel rails are now widely used in upmarket residences, guesthouses and hotels to prevent damp and mildewridden towels.

Designed to dry and warm towels, their energy-efficient heated towel rails consume less electricity than a standard light bulb. World-famous establishments that use Jeeves' heated towel rails range from the One & Only and Mount Nelson hotels in Cape Town to the Chedi Andermatt Hotel in the Swiss Alps and the brand-new Hilton Hotel in South Carolina.

The company is proud to be a cornerstone of the local business community, employing more than 80 residents of Knysna on a full-time basis and further supporting numerous local businesses that supply the various components, materials and services to support the largescale production requirements.

Jeeves takes this opportunity to thank its customers, retailers and suppliers for their loyal support over the past 25 years.
