SWD Cricket announces its provincial fixtures
South Western Districts Cricket has announced its provincial fixtures for the 2020/21 season. Due to the impact of Covid-19 the provincial season will only commence in January 2021. Cricket South Africa (CSA) also confirmed that the 2020 edition of the Mzansi Super League (MSL) has been postponed until November - December 2021.
The decision to postpone South Africa's premier T20 tournament is due to various national and international logistical reasons caused by the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
SWD was also allocated a Momentum One-day Cup match between the Cape Cobras and the Warriors that will be played at the Recreation Ground in Oudtshoorn on 17 January 2021.
