Oakhill gymnasts get Eden colours
KNYSNA - Six learners from Oakhill School recently excelled at the Eden District gymnastic trials, all emerging with Eden colours.
The gymnasts, members of Performance Gymnastics Club, took part in the trials in George on Friday 13 August in Levels 4 and 5. In Level 4 Nellie Hansson earned bronze on the vault, bronze on uneven bars, bronze on beam, silver on floor, and received overall bronze in her age group. Cerys Joseph obtained gold on floor, gold on beam, silver on uneven bars, silver on vault, and received overall silver in her age group.
The other four gymnasts all took part in Level 5. Hannah Buchanan got silver on beam, silver on vault, silver on floor, gold on uneven bars and received overall gold in her age group. Brianna Smuts won gold on vault, silver on uneven bars, bronze on floor, bronze on beam and received overall bronze in her age group. Tivon Buchalter earned gold on floor, bronze on mushroom, silver on rings, gold on vault, silver on parallel bars, bronze on high bar, and received overall silver in his age group. Matthew Lotz won silver on floor, silver on mushroom, gold on rings, silver on vault, bronze on parallel bars, gold on high bar, and received overall gold in his age group.
