Visit Pledge Nature Reserve – 10 hectares of pure nature in the heart of Knysna. Open every day from 07:00 to 18:00. Entry off Main Road between Postnet and Steers. Dogs on leashes welcome. Sedgefield: Wild Oats Community farmers' market every Saturday morning (an award-winning market with over 60 stalls of the finest local farm produce, home bakes, plants and flowers, outdoor breakfast and live music), Scarab Craft Village and Mosaic Market, all in close proximity along the N2.

Plettenber­g Bay: Harkervill­e Saturday Market every Saturday morning offers food, art and craft and more, on the N2 midway between Knysna and Plettenber­g Bay. Rheenendal: Totties Farm Kitchen will be launching a brand-new Sunday Market showcasing the artists, crafters and traders of Rheenendal and surrounds on 19 September. Knysna Model Trains will be running from 10:00 to 12:00. There will be music by Paul Zeman and loads of food stalls as well as a safe and secure children's play area. Knysna: The Friday Market at Knysna Montessori School is back up and running after its winter break. The market will be open every Friday at the school from 16:00 onwards. Knysna: There will be a special Heritage Market held at the Knysna Deli in Trotter Street on Friday 24 September from 10:00 to 17:00. All Covid-19 protocols will be in place.

Whether you’re a die-hard Barry Hilton fan or you’ve never been to a comedy show, you’ll laugh your socks off with this master comedian. Tickets are available from Tixsa. Blend Country Restaurant is hosting various live shows this month, starting with performanc­es from Tigger (Friday 17 September) and Shaza (Sunday 19 September). Tigger will start at 18:00 while Shaza will start performing at 15:00. There will also be live music at Muse Fusion Food this Friday where Aidan Martin and Loandi Boersma will be performing bluesrock, folk, celtic and African style. The show starts at 18:00 and continues until 21:00.

At Surf Café Plett there will be live music with Pride & Joy performing tonight, Thursday 16 September. Davey Mac will perform tomorrow night, Friday 17 September. Both acts will be on stage from 19:00 onwards.

Bloo Bistro will host some live music this week with local musos Elron van den Berg and Jean-Maree Baron of J&E Entertainm­ent lined up to perform on Thursday 16 September.
