PLETTENBERG BAY - It is that time of the year again - no, not to decorate your stores and line your shelves with Christmas stuff (still too early guys). Instead, it's that time of the year again when you can order the latest Nature's Valley calendar, put together by the Nature's Valley Trust (NVT).
Every year, NVT calls local residents and photographers to submit their very best images of Nature's Valley for consideration for the annual calendar. Photo submissions for the calendar wrapped up in August, and voting g was recently carried out to determine who would d be the lucky winners to be featured in the calendar. It was a roaring success.
"After a great turnout of picture entries, both camera mera and cellphone, we have our final selection with the he help of an external judging ing panel and your votes!" NVT said in a recent statement. "A difficult task, but we feel the choices have captured the spirit of our beloved valley." The new calendar will provide more space to save those important dates and any additional notes, than some previous calendars.
"The calendar is now waiting to hit the printers, on final approval once we reach a target number of pre-orders. To do this calendar justice, we have partnered up with the experts at Phoenix Design - the Calendar Specialist, this family-run printer has been in business for 30 years! So, we're in good hands!"
The calendar is in portrait orientation, and approximately an A3 size, printed on highquality art paper and individually boxed in packaging strong enough for posting. "These make wonderful presents - so do yourself a favour, do your holiday shopping early, while supporting the wonderful work of NVT who look after aft this very special place." The calendars c are also a means of fundraising fund for NVT, but this isn't what w it's all about for them. "We w would like to emphasise that the t most important aspect of th this [calendar] is to build comm community spirit and increase Nature's Nat Valley's profile as a top to holiday destination," NV NVT said in a statement. "W "We want the calendar to ca capture everything Nature's Va Valley is about, from the be beautiful landscapes and n nature to the special family moments shared. Proceeds from calendar sales will go t towards our research and e education programmes." NVT needs at least 200 paid pre-orders in order to go ahead with printing. Prices are R250 per calendar, or R1000 for five.
