SEDGEFIELD - Awardwinni­ng performer Li Lau is returning to Sedgefield in two weeks, almost three years since his last performanc­e in the Slow Town.

On 24 and 25 November you need to make your way to Studio 42 to witness South Africa's top escape artist and sideshow performer in his Standard Bank 'Ovation' Awardwinni­ng production, The Magic of Sideshow. You will be transporte­d to the intriguing world of magic and carnival sideshow as you witness daring feats of escape, insane stunts, and bizarre magic.

The show offers lots that you have never seen before. Lau will take you on a daring journey of the capabiliti­es of the human body and mind and you will walk away with a new take on what the human body can achieve. Lau's acts have been defined by LADbible as "one of the most daring acts ever televised".

Who is Li Lau?

Lau hails from Gqeberha and is an award-winning performer and a world record holder who defies reality by pushing himself

to the extremes of his body and mind. Lau's unique acts of escapology, sideshow and magic give him the intriguing title of "bizarre entertaine­r".

His acts are always jaw-dropping and are guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

Lau's biggest claim to fame is being seen by over 20 million people on Britain’s Got Talent in an act that internatio­nal media houses have described as "the most dangerous act ever seen on BGT". This unique escape act is one of a kind and is performed by no one else in the world.

Beyond this and numerous other national and internatio­nal TV features, Lau has also performed at private functions and corporate events across South Africa for some of the biggest companies in the country.

Lau has also toured his live stage act across South Africa to critical acclaim, stunning sold-out audiences at prestigiou­s venues.
