KFIT’s annual stationery drive empowers young minds

- Zoë Fick

KFIT in Knysna not only helps people stay fit but is also making an impact on the lives of young individuals in the community through its annual stationery drive.

For the past five years, KFIT has been dedicated to providing essential stationery supplies to those in need. This year, the efforts are focused on supporting Bongani Pre-school, ensuring that children have the necessary tools for their educational journey.

With a firm belief in the transformative power of education, KFIT and its owner, Marius Barnard, are dedicated to creating a brighter future for the less fortunate.

The idea that investing in education is the first step towards creating a better South Africa, especially for people who are economically disadvantaged, is at the heart of KFIT's purpose.

It is dedicated to provide tools that help kids succeed academically and realise their full potential. By addressing the demand for stationery materials, it is reducing possible obstacles to studying and fostering an atmosphere that is favourable to academic performance.

“My vision is to educate the youth by starting at the bottom, and assisting kids that are less fortunate. If we educate from a young age, we will be able to mould the leaders of the future,” says Barnard.

The success of the stationery drive would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of volunteers, donations, partnerships and community members who share a common passion for education and social upliftment. Their commitment ensures that the impact of the stationery drive extends far beyond the provision of supplies and helps set up a young child for success.
