DUSTER DUE IN SEPTEMBER
One of our favourite SUVs is set to be replaced shortly but we got a sneak preview of it at the Festival of Motoring.
Yes, folks, the new Duster is coming at the end of the month and we’re getting one as a long- termer, so expect to see it in the pages of this mag regularly.
At the time of going to print, the final details weren’t yet ironed out but pricing-wise we’re betting on a similar strategy as before. It is basically the same car, if a bit more refined this time around.
The engine line-up has been carried over from the previous-generation model. The 4x2 petrol model will be powered by a 1.6-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, while the 4x4 model will be equipped with a 1.5-litre dCi unit mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
The off-road figures are impressive, with the new Duster featuring 210mm of ground clearance and an approach and departure angle of 30 and 33 degrees respectively. Hill descent control and Hill Start Assist are both included as standard in the new car.
Pricing was not finalised at the time of going to print, but will be included in the next issue of the magazine.
