Help her5 switch off

“To make bedtime on holiday as straightforward as possible, stick to your usual bedtime routine as closely as you can, as this will prepare your baby for sleep,” says Lucy. “Accept that you’ll also need to go with the flow.” If she struggles to settle, give her the extra support she needs. “Do whatever you need to,” says Lucy. “If you’ve had a good sleep routine in place at home, you can get back into it as soon as you get home, so don’t worry.” So, if staying in the room with her helps her to settle, stay in the room. If she’s really struggling to settle, then you may feel it’s worth putting her into her pram for an evening stroll to calm her, and then doing the bedtime routine again. “It may take a few days, but your baby will learn to trust her new sleeping environment,” says Lucy.
