Not that one needs a nudge to see this movie, but do yourself a favour no matter who you are (as long as you’re over the age of 18) and book a seat or 10 to watch this carefree, relatable and hilarious comedy. Four friends in their 30s reunite after five years apart and go on a trip to the Essence Festival in New Orleans, where their personal and professional grown-up problems collapse under the weight of a hijinksfilled weekend. It’s written by Kenya Barris (Black-ish) and Tracy Oliver, directed by Malcolm D Lee and stars Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett Smith and Regina Hall.
