UK bans more African states
The United Kingdom has added two more countries to their list of banned travellers from Africa. Beginning on Friday, people travelling from Ethiopia and Somalia will not be allowed entry to the UK. Mauritius will be removed from the list. According to the UK’S department of transport the ban is meant to “reduce the risk of new [Covid] variants”. Countries banned are: Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Cape Verde, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles and South Africa.
