Giraffes dying in Kenya

Kenya’s tourism ministry has announced that an investigat­ion will be launched into the increased deaths of wild animals, particular­ly giraffes, in the north of the country. A veterinary team will conduct the investigat­ion. “The Meru Mobile

Vet will investigat­e the high giraffe mortalitie­s in Wajir. They will work with local vets to locate the giraffes and conduct medical examinatio­ns,” said tourism cabinet secretary Najib Balala. Kenya has around 28 850 giraffes. —
