-

The United Arab Emirates will use the Japanbased company ispace, which will be using America’s Elon Musk Spacex rocket — to transport a UAE rover to the moon in 2022. The rover, known as the Rashid lunar rover, will carry a solid-state battery to test its compatibility within the new environment. ispace will use the reusable Falcon 9 rocket from Spacex to transport the rover to the moon. The project forms part of the UAE’S long-term programme with international space companies to build the first human settlement on Mars by 2117.
