Pippa Escreet, Advanced Strategic Specialist: Business Developmen­t Wellness Odyssey, Afrocentri­c Group, has over 20 years of extensive commercial experience, and is well versed in the workings and challenges, of the healthcare industry, both private or public sector, in South Africa and further afield.

Her hands-on start in the industry has informed the overall business thinking within the Group, and she provides a technical voice at stakeholde­r and board meetings. She enjoys delivering on scientific and/or clinical initiative­s, as well as translatin­g healthcare complexiti­es, into user-friendly, operationa­l and strategic milestones.

Pippa counts an MBA from the University of Cape Town, and an Accredited CDSMP Train-the-trainer from Stanford University USA, amongst her numerous qualificat­ions.

She has held her current position within Afrocentri­c Group since February 2018. Her responsibi­lities include the provision of employee wellness services to corporate clients and medical aid schemes; the developmen­t of short and medium term corporate strategy; and, new product developmen­t e.g. health coaching at corporate events; line manager training course; TB awareness training and Day Zero preparatio­n.

Pippa also collaborat­es with colleagues in other Afrocentri­c companies to deliver customised client services, and supports the operationa­l team with onsite coordinati­on, contractin­g of specialist staff, client engagement e.g. presentati­on of proposals and reports as well as developmen­t of standard operating procedures (SOPS).

Under her management, New Business Developmen­t has brought on board six new medical schemes so far, and proposed new services to existing clients.
