Google backs Africa internet

-

Google has committed itself to investing $1-billion over the next five years to bolster Africa’s internet accessibility. The company hopes to also make it more affordable and faster. Google’s Africa managing director, Nitin Gajria, noted that it was important to support entrepreneurship on the continent. “I am of the firm belief that no one is better placed to solve Africa’s biggest problems than Africa’s young developers and startup founders,” he said.
