Write for Magnum
Do you have a story that would be of interest to Magnum’s readers?
We are always looking for new articles to publish. The types of stories we are interested in includes hunting common (non-dangerous) species, wingshooting, sport shooting and short stories of a humorous, thought-provoking or philosophical nature. We also accept technical articles on Magnum subjects such as; firearms, cartridges, reloading, shooting, knives and DIY projects.
All material must be original and not have been published before, or copyright-free. Magnum aims to be as informative as possible while at the same time providing an entertaining read. Perhaps you have an experience that our readers can learn from?
For hunting stories we like to receive a variety of photos – the scenery, the vegetation, live game (what you are hunting and other species encountered on your hunt), yourself in action, your tracker, animal spoor, the rifle you hunted with, and of course what you bagged.
Technical articles must be accompanied by appropriate original photographs or diagrams, which illustrate points in the text.
Articles should not be longer than 1 800 words. Articles and photos which are published will be paid for at the usual rates.
We recommend that you contact us before you start writing to receive a free copy of Magnum’s Writers’ Guidelines and to bounce your ideas off us. Sometimes we may have an article on a similar topic waiting to be published so it is always best to check with us beforehand.
