Cheryl’s incredible resilience as she was cross-examined by Timothy Omotoso’s defence lawyer, advocate Peter Daubermann, was praised around the country. At the time of writing, Timothy Omotoso faced 63 charges including rape, sexual assault and racketeering. At the trial, Cheryl said, ‘Being a woman in this world is a challenging task on its own and we find ourselves having to defend our dignity on a daily basis. So, whatever battle I am fighting is the same battle every other woman out there is fighting.’
