Pnp athlone’s botanical Christmas

-

Pick n Pay Athlone Circle has gone all out for Christmas this year, and has invited you to join them in spreading some cheer to the city’s elderly residents. After all the doom and gloom this year, Pick n Pay Athlone Circle decided it was fitting to make their store’s Christmas celebrations extra festive.

In collaboration with Style House Décor Hire and Florists duo, Donna and Kate, the store has been transformed into a botanical feast for the eyes. The festive displays, made from foraged and recycled plant material by Style House Décor, serve to get shoppers in the Christmas spirit and also draw inspiration for their own Christmas home décor.

And while you’re shopping and admiring the festive display, perhaps spare a thought for the elderly residents, and pop an item into the store’s PADCA Wish

List collection box. PnP Athlone Circle is appealing for your help to make this Christmas a little brighter for the PADCA elderly residents.

It’s been a lonely year for most of them, not being able to see their families due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and PnP is appealing to customers to help them make Christmas a little brighter for these residents.

“While we’re enjoying the holiday season, we encourage you to spare a thought for the elderly. This year has been particularly tough on them. Most have been deprived of seeing family and friends and the solitude brought about by isolating has taken its toll on them. We have consulted with PADCA and have a wish list of essentials needed and a few extras to make Christmas a little brighter for them.

We have a collection point at the front of the store to drop off your donation, which we will ensure is safely delivered to them,” said PnP Athlone’s Cecile Thatcher said. Items in need include: mince pies, Christmas cakes, biscuits, Christmas crackers, cool drinks, plasters, Dettol, Panado, and various toiletries.

You can also add a PnP gift voucher to contribute to the catering costs of PADCA’s Christmas lunch. Pop into Athlone Circle PnP, be inspired by the beautiful displays, and spread some Christmas cheer to the city’s isolated elderly residents.
