Jasat and Jasat welcomes 3rd generation
One of the oldest and most prominent law firms in the city, Jasat and Jasat, welcomed a third generation member, Kameel Maharaj into the practice. Maharaj, who was admitted at the Pietermaritzburg High Court recently, obtained a BCom Law degree and then pursued his LLB. Maharaj was inspired by his grandfather’s skills and knowledge in the field of law and was also impressed by his mom’s ability to interpret the law in a truthful manner. Nadira Jasat is known to be very principled. Jasat and Jasat was started in the early 70s by Farouk Jasat and his brother Hoosen. Nadira and Kameel followed in his footsteps as Jasat senior is a motivating role model to both. It is a proud moment for Jasat Senior, who is now semi retired and still enjoys advising both daughter and grandson in an uplifting manner.
