SPAR KZN girls schools’ hockey challenge

The dates and host schools for the 10 KwaZulu-Natal legs of the 2022 SPAR girls schools’ hockey challenge have been revealed. Ferrum High School in Newcastle will host the first event, which will see Northern KZN schools from Vryheid, Newcastle, Pongola and surroundin­g areas going head-to-head on Saturday, February 26. There will be four regional tournament­s in March, including the two Pietermari­tzburg events at St Anne’s College in Hilton on March 5 (PMB Northern Regional) and St John’s DSG (PMB Central Regional) on March 6.

Danville Park Girls’ High School hosts the Durban North regional action on March 12, with the Highway regional at Westville Girls’ High School on March 13.

In April, tournament­s will be held at Kingsway High School in Amanzimtot­i and Matatiele’s King Edward High School; with contests in May taking place at the Deutsche Schule Hermannsbu­rg, Durban Girls’ College and Grantleigh College in Richards Bay.

The finals will take place at St Mary’s DSG over the weekend of July 23 and 24.
