Pietermaritzburg top matriculants acknowledged by mall
Passing matric is no easy feat. There is much determination and hard work involved, particularly among the learners whose grades saw them reach the top tier. To acknowledge their exceptional achievements, Liberty Midlands Mall gifted each of the top 10 learners in Pietermaritzburg with a R1 000 shopping voucher.
Kial Parmanand, Rebecca Wendy Summersgill, Morgan Alston Pearson, Thaufeeq Mohamed Patel, Sidrah Rana Qayyum, Amaan Essa, Samuel Padayachee, Usmaan Desai, Joshlon Donovan Govender, and James Robert Le Roux were each gifted with a voucher at a handover at the Bessie Head Library last month. Mayor Mzimkhulu Thebolla attended the ceremony and commended the matriculants for their astounding success.
“High school education is such an important element in ensuring that a person reaches their full potential in life,” said Desmond Heunis, general manager Liberty Midlands Mall. “These learners have shown exceptional results, and I hope that they are motivated to continue learning in a way that they find fulfilling,” he added.
