Making art accessible to all
Expectations are high as the Msunduzi Pietermaritzburg Tourism celebrates its 57th year doing what they do best, which is exposing and introducing new talent and showcasing great art and entertainment in a modern and vibrant way.
Art in the Park plays a major role in the community and youth involvement. Each year, it encourages all schools from around Pietermaritzburg to participate in showcasing learners’ work at the event. This not only gives learners a chance to exhibit their work, but also gives them confidence in their work and helps to mold and grow their talent and love for art. Msunduzi Tourism is also looking at expanding the school art work display and encouraged all schools to come on board and display their learner’s artwork.
Mpume Ngubane, from Msunduzi Pietermaritzburg Tourism said: “Our aim is for 2022’s Art in the Park to make art accessible to all, while ensuring it remains at a high standard.” Expect nothing less than exceptional art, good food, great kid’s entertainment and exciting performances at this year’s Art in the Park.
