Art brings everyone together

It’s that time of the year again, where we bring a showcase of art and festivities to Pietermaritzburg.

Art in the Park is one of the handful of selling exhibitions, where all artists from different corners of the country come and visit for this beautiful exhibition. Taking place in the SANBI KZN Pietermaritzburg Botanical Garden, and sponsored by Creative Arts College, the festival offers a safe and secure environment, not forgetting a romantic atmosphere.

Art has been identified as the tool to overcome barriers that separate people. It has power and ability to inspire and relate across all races.

Art in the Park certainly has helped artists since 1962 establish themselves and create a market for their special skills. It’s a trade expo platform. In the early days, as the artist joined the event, they created a synergy among artists and supported each other, and the sales they received gave them the belief and means for them to continue to paint and survive as artists. Apart from the networking with other artists that one experiences, it is also a big help when it comes to dealing with other shows and galleries.

Art brings beauty into our world and makes it a better place, so come and join us in celebrating 58 years of art that brings people together and enables us to speak one language.
