In a study in Sci­en­tific Re­ports, un­trained men gained mus­cle in a 7-week strength pro­gramme, rested for 7 weeks, did an­other 7-week pro­gramme and re­gained their lost mus­cle mass — and more (5.9%). DNA marks for mus­cle growth were “re­mem­bered” for up to 22 weeks.
