At the in­ter­ac­tive mas­ter­class, held at the Dis­cov­ery Kitchen in Sand­ton on 2 Oc­to­ber 2018, Bertus showed the guys how to cre­ate a post­work­out meal that is crammed full of nu­tri­tion and good­ness in­stead of guilt and junk. The mouth­wa­ter­ing menu (gnudi with sage but­ter, lightly smoked trout with tomato, vi­nai­grette, beans and al­monds, and poached fruit with cus­tard and ice cream) was paired with Hid­den Val­ley wine. Who said healthy food has to be bland? The guests were given a chance to pick the celebrity chef’s brain on the best way to cook healthy meals that pack a punch of flavour. Guests then sat down to en­joy the de­li­cious meal. They left equipped with plenty of tips and skills to pre­pare quick and easy mus­cle meals as well as a goodie bag with a Men’s Health sub­scrip­tion, Hid­den Val­ley wine, a cut­ting board, chef’s apron and six premium wine glasses.
