T20 champ to be crowned tomorrow

New champions in the SWD T20 competitio­n will be crowned tomorrow, Saturday 14 October, after the defending champions, Union Stars, were eliminated in the quarter-finals.

It is the first time since the inception of the competitio­n in 2008 that Union Stars have not reach the semi-finals.

Harlequins Forces will take on Mossel Bay in the first semi-final, after which NMU and George will lock horns. The final will start at 15:00. All the matches will be at the REC Ground in Oudtshoorn.

The SWD winner will together with the Boland and Western Province champions, contest a place in the Multiple Club Championsh­ips that will be held in Pretoria between 8 and 10 December.

SWD Twenty20 semi-finals and final (REC Ground, Oudtshoorn)

Harlequins Forces vs Mossel Bay (09:00); George vs NMU Madibaz George (12:00). The final will be played at 15:00.
