Promotion league semi-final places secured
New Dawn Park, Blanco and Knysna Cavaliers all consolidated their positions for a place in the semi-finals in the SWD Promotion league with impressive victories during the past weekend.
Blanco (304 all out) defeated Glen Roses (80 all out) by 264 runs. New Dawn Park, who lost by six wickets against Dysselsdorp on Saturday, were too strong for Ladismith on Sunday and won by 107 runs.
Knysna Cavaliers (87/2) strengthened their position for a home semi-final with an eightwicket victory against KwaNonqaba (86 all out).
Riversdale (250 all out) kept their hopes for a place in the semi-finals alive with a 58-run victory against Hartenbos (192 all out).
