Da Gamaskop successes

The Da Gamaskop police are proud of their recent achievements in bringing criminals to justice. Here are some of the sentences obtained.

• Jaine Giant Clooco (31): four years' imprisonment, suspended for five years robbery with aggravating circumstances.

• Earl Denver Seconds (26): two years' imprisonment, suspended for five years robbery with aggravating circumstances.

• Gerald May (18): three years, suspended for five years - robbery with a knife.

• Xolile Jantjies (18): three years' imprisonment as well as one year and six months, suspended for five years - robbery with a knife.

• Sariano van Beulen (21): two years' imprisonment - robbery.

• Christo Slabbert (22): two years' imprisonment - robbery.

• Jongikwaya Mxathule (28): six years robbery with a weapon other than a firearm.

Investigating officers in these cases were Sgt A Binneman and Wo A Stokes.
