Mayoral Cup winners

Three Mayoral Cup sport tournaments - soccer, sevens rugby and netball - were hosted during the Mossel Bay Sport and Recreation Festival.

"The purpose and focus of the Mayoral Cup tournaments were to include rural and urban soccer clubs to create interaction, synergy and cohesion among different communities.

The tournaments went well," said Setchmor Rhoodes, the rural development officer at the Mossel Bay Municipality.

The tournament was made possible by the Mossel Bay Municipality, Garden Route Casino Community Trust, Nedbank, Vodacom, SWD Eagles and Eden Netball.

Happy Hearts took second place in the netball tournament.
