Inquest after death of girl
The KwaNonqaba police have opened an inquest docket after the sudden and unexpected death of a 12-year-old girl in Asla Park.
According to information received from the police, the child was found dead in her bed in the dwelling she shared with her family.
There were no obvious signs of misconduct and the body was taken into the care of the Western Cape Forensic Department.
A post mortem was not completed at the time of going to press.
Apparently the child received treatment for a knee that she had hurt, but other than that she had not complained of other ailments.
The investigating officer, Sgt Ndala (044 606 5600), may be contacted if anyone has any information that could assist in the case.
