Sport in aid of 16 Days of Activism

-

The 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence is an international campaign to challenge violence against women and girls.

This campaign runs every year from 25 November, the International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women to 10 December, Human Rights Day.

On the Sundays of 1 and 8 December Eden MPA hosted two Women in Sport events to mark the 16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence.

The first two of the total of three events were in George and Oudtshoorn, with the third one planned for Sunday, 6 January at 14:00 at Van Riebeeck Stadium, Mossel Bay.

Everybody agreed that these events were a huge success and that they would love to try competing in laser run again. It is a family sport in which mom, dad, children and even grandparents can take part.

For more information on this fast growing sport, contact Eden MPA (edenmpa. chairman@gmail.com) or Bart Saaiman (082 694 4362 or bart@mubesko.co.za). Also see www.edenmpa.co.za.
