‘Perhaps Love’ leaves audience in awe
Friday night, 5 July saw a very, very special production at ArtSpace in Mossel Bay.
The stunningly talented Cornelle Carstens wowed the audience with her superb rendition of the heartwarming, real life love stories of South Africans such as Ingrid Jonker, NP van Wyk Louw, Jan Smuts and a host of others.
Complementing Cornelle was Abé Meintjes on vocals and guitar and Mariaan Bester on cello, with unforgettable, Jaques Brell-like performances of ’n Hemel vol blou akkers, Perhaps Love and other memorable love songs which had the audience entranced. Some of the feedback received included:
“Thank you. What a wonderful evening. Our group was in awe!” “Uitstekende produksie! Baie dankie.”
The show ended with rousing applause and a well-deserved standing ovation.
It is intended to take this uniquely local production further afield.
