Take plunge for charity

The annual Polar Plunge, hosted by Round Table, takes place today, 19 July at the iconic tidal pool at the Point, Mossel Bay.

During the event, brave Round Tablers and members of the public who join them in their quest, line up on the wall of the tidal pool after dark, to plunge into the freezing cold water.

The support of family, friends and other charitable persons, who donate clothes, non-perishable foods, blankets and cash for distribution to the needy during the winter, makes this daring feat more bearable.

The event takes place from 18:00 and culminates in the plunge at 19:00.
