Robber arrested

A 40-year-old male has been arrested following a house robbery in the KwaNonqaba area on 17 September.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Kappie Kapp, says a group of unknown suspects broke into the home at about 04:00 and threatened the complainant with a panga.

"The victim was assaulted and the robbers fled with cellphones and cash."

Kapp says the community assisted police with information and the suspect was arrested a few hours later. He is being charged with house robbery and assault.
