Business workshop for men

The Local Economic Development office of the Mossel Bay Municipality is hosting a seminar on small and medium enterprise development on 13 October at the Mossel Bay Town Hall.

The event takes place from 09:00 to 14:00. In August, the LED office hosted a similar event for women, which was highly successful.

Artist and motivational speaker Anthony Noble will open the floor, whereafter seminars on finance, marketing and sales principles will follow. The event will be concluded with lunch.

Bookings close today, Friday 7 October. Reserve your seat by sending an email to cpick@mosselbay.gov.za.

Hygiene

Global Hand Washing Day is commemorated annually on 15 October.

The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) will hold a commemoration event on 13 October.

Mossel Bay Municipality will partner with DWS to host events in KwaNonqaba.

The reason for choosing KwaNonqaba is based on the information received from the Department of Health of increasing numbers of diarrhoea in the area. More details will follow on the Mossel Bay Municipality’s Facebook page.

Change of bank

The Mossel Bay Municipality has moved its account from Nedbank to Standard Bank. Ratepayers have up to the end of November to change their beneficiaries in order to pay their municipal accounts.

This can be done at any ATM, via the internet or cellphone banking.

Marketing of services

The annual municipal roadshow, during which the Mossel Bay Municipality presents its services to the community in all 15 wards of the greater Mossel Bay area, takes place from 18 October to 18 November.

Any interested parties providing services on health, funerals, finance and wills are welcome to use this platform to exhibit their services. The reason for this inclusion is to demonstrate the municipality’s commitment towards the community to create awareness of the importance of overall financial, emotional and physical wellness.
