Marlin excel at Nipper champs
The Nippers of Mossel Bay's Marlin Lifesaving Club excelled during the annual I&J Western Cape Lifesaving Nipper Championships on 2 and 3 March.
Marlin selected a team of 10 children to represent the club at the event, held in Strand, Cape Town. Marlin Lifesaving is a small club, located on Santos beach.
The small team of 10 gained 82 points in total. This placed Marlin in 6th position in the Western Cape and first in the Eden region.
All 10 competitors achieved a top 20 result in the beach long run.

The club entered two mixed relay teams in the U14 category. This placed them at a disadvantage due to the varying ages of the children. Relay teams:
Marlin A team consisted of Stantonio Karelse, Shanno Windvogel, Elih Cloete and Kwezi Mini. The B team consisted of Joshua Veldsman, Reginald Flores, Jourdaine Moses and Ziyane Windvogel.
