DON’T GLORIFY PRISONERS

Move! - - EDITOR’S NOTE -

When I read the story titled, My

Life Behind Bars, in Move! (Issue 618, 11 April), I coudn’t help but think that the writer is selfabsorbed. One message that came through from the writer is that his life in prison is not good. Those who are convicted of crime should be holistic in their approach when they use the media to tell their stories and the starting point should be an apology and showing empathy to the victims. Let us be wary of seeing those in prison as some sort of heroes when they claim to have changed. They must show remorse and acknowledge the harm they have caused. MAUPI MONYEMANGENE, VIA EMAIL
