According to reports, police had been called to the suspect’s home by neighbours after he got into a heated argument with his mother and sister and allegedly began beating them. The neighbours reportedly ran to Prashant’s home to stop the beating after they heard screams coming from the house.

That is when the body was discovered in one of the rooms.

The body was that of the suspect’s father, Vishwanath Prasad, who was 75 years old.

PRESERVING THE BODY

Vishwanath had reportedly died around April or May last year after a long battle with an undisclosed illness. His son preserved his body using ice and a mixture of chemicals to stop the corpse from smelling.

His mother, Anu Kumari Sinha, along with his sister, Mamta Kumari, said the suspect preserved his father’s body as he thought he would bring his dad back to life. Reports suggest that Prashant planned to use black magic to resurrect his dead father. It is unclear if Prashant has been officially charged.
