The online travel space is increasingly popping up globally, where travel product sales are being boosted by the development of new technology and diverse business models across various markets. Travel into Africa for business and leisure is on the rise, with 39 million inbound trips expected annually in Africa by 2020 and since Africa offers cheaper travel destinations, positive growth has been forecast from 2017 to 2021 overall.

in a ground-breaking development, rising Pan-African media platform, Nomad Africa, had just introduced a newly developed online radio channel called NomadRadio. This is in addition to the already well received print and digital platforms. NomadRadio - a podcast broadcast platform, is designed to educate, inform, entertain and above all, showcase Africa’s culture and its unique offerings to the world.

The Nomad Africa project is an initiative born from a passionate desire to dispel the negative perceptions, which the world has held of the African continent, and to replace it with a positive focus. It aims to foster a strong interest in the continent's cultural heritage, unique tourist attractions and countless business development and investment opportunities, with the millions of people living in, investigating- or visiting Africa. The project operates out of Johannesburg, South Africa.

Unveiling the new podcast broadcast platform adds to the overall accessibility of the 360 degree media house’s services and products to businesses in Africa. “We continue to set high standards with selective media and communication solutions that will set us apart from the rest. Our goal is to be Africa’s number one content provider in the areas of business, travel, tourism and continuously influence positive perceptions plus appreciation for the true worth of Africa worldwide, says John Akinribido, CEO of 2414 Media Group – the company in charge of the unique project. The flagship show on the broadcast platform called ‘Discover Africa’, will be hosted by veteran broadcaster David Batzofin - a well-known travel writer, award winning blogger and photographer. David will cover the African continent from Cape to Cairo…or that could be from Port Elizabeth to Timbuktu. Focusing on business travel and tourism, Discover Africa will strive to highlight current topics as well as destinations that might be off the beaten track.

The Nomad Africa project involves using several media platforms to celebrate life on the African continent and promote its vibrant pulse at the same time creating a unique advertising platform for clients wishing to promote their brand across Africa.
