Huge dagga haul seized in roadblock
TWO suspects were arrested after a stop-and-search roadblock led to police officers seizing more than 20kg of dagga.
The roadblock was conducted by KwaMbonambi SAPS on the N2 near Chicken Station.
The first suspect, a 46-yearold woman, was found to be in possession of two bags of dagga, one weighing 2.8kg and the other more than 15kg, worth about R12 000 combined.
The second suspect, a 26-year-old man, was found to be in possession of a 3.8kg bag of dagga worth about R5 000.
They were both arrested on scene and transported to KwaMbonambi Police Station, and their illegal stash confiscated by the police.
