Huge dagga haul seized in road­block

TWO sus­pects were ar­rested after a stop-and-search road­block led to po­lice of­fi­cers seiz­ing more than 20kg of dagga.

The road­block was con­ducted by KwaMbonambi SAPS on the N2 near Chicken Sta­tion.

The first sus­pect, a 46-yearold woman, was found to be in pos­ses­sion of two bags of dagga, one weigh­ing 2.8kg and the other more than 15kg, worth about R12 000 com­bined.

The sec­ond sus­pect, a 26-year-old man, was found to be in pos­ses­sion of a 3.8kg bag of dagga worth about R5 000.

They were both ar­rested on scene and trans­ported to KwaMbonambi Po­lice Sta­tion, and their il­le­gal stash con­fis­cated by the po­lice.
