Man’s body found

Graaff-Reinet SAPS is urgently trying to trace the next of kin of an unidentified man.

According to Capt Bradley Rawlinson, spokesperson for the station, the body of an unknown man was found on 8 September shortly after 23:00, on the R53, around 2km from the Pearston turn-off from GraaffReinet.

The man was wearing a navy hooded top, long black pants, royal blue socks and a pair of black and brown tekkies.

The man is about 1.75m tall.

A case of culpable homicide has been opened.

The Graaff-Reinet SAPS appeals to anyone who can assist in identifying the man, or anyone who might be looking for a relative who is missing, to contact Det W/O Gys van Gent on 082 442 2969, GraaffReinet Police on 049 807 1106 or the nearest police station.
