Locals support blood drive

- PAULA-ANN SMIT

The South African National Blood Service (SANBS) is happy with the turnout at their blood drive in Graaff-Reinet on 14 September, having collected 64 units of blood.

Prior to the blood drive, held at Te Watersaal on Bourke Street, SANBS urged donors to attend.

"Covid-19 restrictions have severely limited our ability to collect adequate blood stocks, particularly because we are not able to access schools, colleges and corporate for blood drives," said Zikhona Ruiters, Donor Relations Practitioner for SANBS.

Locals attended the drive between 11:00 and 16:00.
