Mayor elected to lead SALGA in Limpopo
Polokwane Mayor John Mpe was elected as the new provincial chairperson of the South African Local Government Association (Salga) in Limpopo during the organisation’s two-day provincial conference that was hosted at The Ranch Resort from last Thursday.
Mpe succeeds Mopani District Mayor Pule Shai who led Salga Limpopo for the interim term after former Polokwane Mayor, Thembisile Nkadimeng was elected president of Salga national and thereafter appointed as
Deputy Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (CoGTA).
