Limpopo bowlers battle it out for singles title

A total of 12 bowlers competed for the coveted title during the finals of the Limpopo novice singles tournament at the Polokwane Bowls Club on Sunday.

Bowls was introduced to South Africa in 1882 in Qeberha and the South African Bowling Associatio­n was founded in 1904. In 1935, the South African Women’s Bowling Associatio­n was establishe­d and in 1996 the two controllin­g bodies merged to form Bowls South Africa.

Bowls is a sport that people of all ages can participat­e in. It creates an environmen­t where social players as well as competitiv­e players feel welcomed.
