Limpopo bowlers battle it out for singles title
A total of 12 bowlers competed for the coveted title during the finals of the Limpopo novice singles tournament at the Polokwane Bowls Club on Sunday.
Bowls was introduced to South Africa in 1882 in Qeberha and the South African Bowling Association was founded in 1904. In 1935, the South African Women’s Bowling Association was established and in 1996 the two controlling bodies merged to form Bowls South Africa.
Bowls is a sport that people of all ages can participate in. It creates an environment where social players as well as competitive players feel welcomed.
