Father and son win big at Lim golf
Promising young golfer Arno Lombard was announced as the winner of the Limpopo Closed Junior Division golf tournament at the Polokwane Golf Club on February 5.
The Gr 12 learner from Hoërskool Pietersburg beat fellow golfers from various golf clubs in the province to walk away with the bragging rights and a trophy.
His father Andries Lombard was named the overall winner of the championship with a score of 147. Veteran golfers, Riaan Piek and Willie Opperman won the senior and mid-am categories respectively.
The championship was graced by golfers from Soutpansberg, Chrome, Euphoria, Kameeldoring, Tzaneen and Hans Merensky Golf Clubs.
